1854 Studio

Between November 2019 and September 2022, I worked as a creative producer at British Journal of photography’s creative agency, Studio 1854. I worked with photographers to create narrative-led projects that explore the world we live in for clients such as WaterAid, Leica, Malala Fund, MPB, and LucasFilm.

Several of these projects have gone on to gain recognition from the likes of Sony World Photo (Monty Kaplan and Marisol Mendez - Miruku - Wateraid x British Journal of Photography Climate Commission), PALM* Photo Prize (shortlisted), and Łódź Photofestiwal (Ngadi Smart - Wata Na Life - Wateraid x British Journal of Photography Climate Commission).

British Journal of Photography Awards

Since January 2022 I have worked as Head of Awards Production at British Journal of Photography. Here, I oversee the running of the five core awards: Portrait of Britain, Portrait of Humanity, Female in Focus, OpenWalls, and BJP International Photography Award.

For each award, I organise and assist the judging panel, oversee the call-to-entry, organise opening events, and arrange the announcement of the winners. For any given award I will be overseeing the work of up to 200 artists at a time.

I work with galleries, photography festivals, book publishers, printers, framers, and artists to produce the resulting exhibitions and publications of the winning artists images.
